Simplifying Your Food

Simplifying Your Food: You Are What You Eat

One should eat to live, not live to eat.

— Moliere

We are bombarded with conflicting research on which foods are “good” and which are “bad.” To complicate things further, we have corporations willing to falsify research and assault us with advertisements from a very young age (“from womb to tomb”) to capture a larger market share regardless of the health dangers of their product. So what can we do to take control and simplify our choices with minimal effort?

Below is a list of easy suggestions you can follow to simplify your food choices starting right now. Just pick one of the following and stick to it for 30 days. You’ll be surprised to find that after just one month, your body will no longer crave those sugary sweets or that caffeinated beverage. Some of the choices below are super simple and some are more involved. Pick one that you know you can actually stick to for the next four weeks.

No soda No alcohol
No diet soda No fries
No caffeine No candy
No fast food No cookies
No chips No processed meats
No additional sugar No additional salt
No canned foods No boxed foods

Which one will you choose? Let me know in the comment section below.  :)
